  • Garage48 Digital Construction hackathon

Have you ever met a person who has nothing to do with the field of construction? Neither have we - all of us are either real estate owners or tenants. Some of us are even literally part of the millions of people who actually work in the industry.
Although the construction business involves tens of different counterparts like architects, developers and actual construction workers the mechanisms of the field are absolutely outdated and we've decided to change it!

Let us name just few of the top challenges the industry is facing :
    1) Poor productivity and profitability

    2) Lack of on-time and on-budget projects

    3) Very little digitalization and digital collaboration

    4) Moderate implementation of modern technologies

    5) Growing needs of sustainability and well-being

    6) Shortage of skilled labour and generational differences

    7) On site theft, vandalism and security

    8) Poor document and information management

    and the list goes on.

Garage48 and Estonian Digital Construction Cluster have teamed up in order to get the brightest minds together to hack a full weekend and come up with changemaking ideas.

If you're a true field expert, on-point business person, fanatic developer, design guru, data scraper, data specialist, UI/UX designer, engineer, architect or real estate expert then join us at Tallinn University of Technology to bring innovation and technology to the built environment and be part of a weekend which will be remembered as the one that changed how things work in the construction world!

Do you have an idea how to get access to important information so job could get done faster and projects would keep on moving faster? Or do you have a genius idea of a field specific communication tool that doesn't exist yet? Do you know how to best get all the drawings, schedules, process performance, budgets and reports to one place? Or you know about a superior approach how IoT and drones can give the industry a push? Or perhaps you want to make buildings more emphatic, connect smartly logistic sector with construction sector or you think it’s right time to implement self learning solutions in construction and real estate sector. Then please join and present your idea to others and combine a dream-team! You are also invited to join if you don't have a specific idea but own an enviable skill set which can help the visioners to get stuff done!

Right now the biggest strengths of the construction field stands in construction. At the same time the planning process plays a huge role in the field and innovation together with technology can make a real big change!

Let's build a better indsutry together!
