Like the name suggests, it ain’t your typical hackathon. Nor is it for the faint of heart. Say ‘Hello’ to travelling through Ukraine old school- on train- together with nearly 100 fellow mad minds - all sharing the same goal: to validate their ideas and turn the best ones into a fully functioning prototypes!

    HOW DOES IT ALL WORK?

Hack-A-Train boards from Mariupol exactly on the 19th of April at 12:50PM, so please make sure you are not late or else the train will board without you and you can only weep on the railings as the train slowly disappears on the horizon.

EVERYONE will get a chance to present their idea in a 90 second pitch. Teams are formed on the spot around the best ideas. Do not worry if you don’t have an idea at all, you are more than welcome to hop on board of the Hack-A-Train and join an idea you relate with the most.

In the FIRST STAGE of the hackathon, we’ll focus solely on validating and finding possible solutions to your business idea. Through well-structured brainstorming sessions, with the help of skilled design, business, marketing and tech mentors, these ideas will be turned into paper-prototypes over the course of a 28-hour long train ride. This is the time to take your work to a next level and turn your initial ideas into well-functioning business concepts.

In the SECOND STAGE, after the train has boarded in Lviv, our long-term partner N-iX is welcoming all the weary travellers to their beautiful office and cozy event space. Most importantly, the venue has an excellent WIFI connection, warm meals and refreshing drinks- everything to help to turn your already validated idea into a prototype. All the teams will get a chance to present their prototypes on the stage at our Sunday night finale and best teams will receive amazing prizes that will enable them to develop their ideas even further.

    WHO’S INVITED TO JOIN?

Everyone is welcomed - designers, front-end and back-end developers, marketeers, business minds, visionaries and project managers. Register now and get ready for the train ride that will boost your professional life into new heights!
